Living in Texas for nearly over half our lives, we found so many beautiful landscapes and Texans are particularly proud of their state flower, The Bluebonnet. There just aren’t many flowers that are as beautiful. It is a true harbinger of spring, telling us we better get ready for the hot, long summer. Ha!
Nearly all of these were taken over several springs. But there are a few exceptions. Mission Espada Dam was taken on a spectacular July day and each of the Lost Maple State Park landscapes was taken in autumn. Lost Maples is special because its the only place in South-central Texas that one can experience Fall color. Usually, the trees are green all summer long, then, we get a freeze – and boom, the leaves drop off. No color, just gone!
